We all come of age as young adults in a world that was created by past generations. It can be daunting to take on the ownership of something you didn’t have a direct hand in shaping. Where do you start? Which ideas and issues are the most pressing to address? How do you know if you're doing enough? How do you take care of yourself and others? Join us at Skill Set to explore these questions and learn skills that will help as we all try to navigate the world around us. |
Skill Set is an experiment in co-creating a space that responds to our unjust society with creativity and resilience. Through collaborative workshops generated directly from participant interest, we will explore the interplay of our internal and external worlds. We will do this together in two peer-led sessions (winter and summer) for those between the ages of 20 and 30 years old. The retreat is led by a staff of peer facilitators who believe in the potential of young people to change the world and to be changed in the process. Together, we will reflect, share wisdom and skills, and build community.
